The Fund for The Arts:

The Fund for The Arts was originally established in order to make awards and grants to encourage the study of the Arts in Scotland.

It aims to make awards and grants available to individual pupils of primary and secondary schools that have participated in the Bridgeton Burns Club Schools' Competition.   Candidates will be required to show  talent and promise in the fields of Music, Literature, Art and Drama, or any other of the Arts included in the Club’s Schools' Competition and can be:

Awards for pupils who shall pursue degree level studies at a Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, or other institution of tertiary education;

or

Grants towards expenses of boys and girls who have the opportunity to attend workshops, seminars, conferences and courses relevant to the Arts - particularly where no financial assistance or support is available from local authorities.

Awards and grants are subject to the discretion and approval of the Trustees of the Fund.
