The Fund for The Arts:

The Fund for The Arts was originally established in order to make awards and grants to encourage the study of the Arts in Scotland.

It aims to make awards and grants available to pupils of primary and secondary schools in the Glasgow area who evince talent and promise in the fields of Music, Literature, Art and Drama, or any other of the Arts included in the Club’s Schools Competition.

Awards and/or grants can be made available to pupils who have taken part in the Schools Competition, and can be:

  • awards for pupils who shall pursue degree level studies at a Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, or other institution of tertiary education;

or

  • grants towards expenses of boys and girls who have the opportunity to attend workshops, seminars, conferences and courses relevant to the Arts – particularly where no financial assistance or support is available from local authorities.

Awards and grants are subject to the approval of the Trustees.
