Adjudicator’s Remarks:

The disappointment of receiving no Entries in any of the three Secondary Writing categories was countered by the high number, 81 form Primary Schools (in this respect special congratulations go to Garrowhill for their record breaking entry of 43).

The pupils enthusiasm and effort in constructing such imaginative and amusing Front Page Stories from the two poems about “Poor Mailie” deserve the highest praise – as does the encouragement and expertise provided by the teachers.
